Gallbladder Removal and Other Treatment
Depending on the magnitude of the symptoms of gallbladder problems in different individuals, doctors may just recommend gallbladder removal. This is not however the only type of treatment that may be administered to patients suffering from the gallbladder disease. This is because the symptoms of this disease may vary from person to person ranging from stomach pain, diarrhoea, lack of energy and nausea among others. As such there are other types of treatment that may be administered like proper diet which will mainly seek to correct the level of fat that is responsible for the formation of the gallstones in the gallbladder.
Others include sphincerotomy which simply refers to the extraction of gallstones from bile ducts. This is often applied before the actual removal of the gallbladder. The third kind of treatment is extracorporeal shock-wave as well as the use of drugs that will dissolve the gallstones. It must however be noted that each of these forms of treatment have their own advantages and disadvantages.
